Type of Employment: PRN/Per diem (SUMMER POSITION)

Schedule: Weekdays - Varies

Compensation: $17/hour (pending experience)

When patients enter our outpatient physical therapy center in Durham, we want them to have an exceptional experience – starting at the front desk. That’s where you come in. As a patient service specialist, you’ll manage both the patient side and business side of our center. Don’t underestimate the impact you can make on every patient’s care experience, even before they leave the waiting room.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and register patients, provide information about their visit, and assist with scheduling and check-out procedures
  • Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
  • Communicate regularly with attorney offices, insurance companies, translation services, and internal teams such as operations and business development
  • Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Experience in healthcare settings

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of front desk experience
