Job summary

Select Medical in Defuniak Springs, FL is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to join our outpatient PT center. You will greet and register patients, explain visit flow, and help patients with their next appointment as they leave the front desk.

The role involves scheduling, coordinating with attorneys, insurers, translation services, and cross-functional teams while ensuring accurate co-pays and payor verifications. A Monday–Friday day schedule is provided in a full-time capacity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of front desk experience.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and next appointment as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Maintain regular communication with offices, insurers, and leaders across the center.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance verifications.

Compensation: $15.00-$17.00/hour (pending experience)
