Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Patient Service Specialist in Miami Beach, FL to manage front desk activities and patient flow at our outpatient PT center. This role handles patient check-in/out, appointment scheduling, and insurance communications, ensuring a smooth first impression and efficient operations.

The position is part-time with a weekday schedule, and benefits include 401k eligibility after meeting hours requirements. A bilingual candidate with healthcare background is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with attorneys, insurance companies, translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Position: Patient Service Specialist

Schedule: Weekdays (Varies)

Compensation:$16.00-$18.00/hour (pending experience)

When patients enter our outpatient physical therapy center in Miami Beach, we want them to have an exceptional experience – starting at the front desk. That’s where you come in. As a patient service specialist, you’ll manage both the patient side and the business side of our center.
