AdventHealth in Florida is hiring for a medical billing associate in a full-time daytime role. You will manage patient check-in/out, verify insurance, and handle billing using Athena EMR. Strong communication and multitasking are essential as you triage calls and schedule appointments.

Day-to-day duties include collecting payments, posting charges, coordinating with the Centralized Billing Office, and ensuring accurate patient records. A minimum of 2+ years in a medical office is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years experience in a medical office or equivalent with medical terminology, coding, charge entry and payment collection.

• Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously, identify practice and triage messages.
• Schedule, cancel, or reschedule appointments as requested.
• Verify and update patient insurance in EMR for accurate billing.
• Collect co-pays and process payments; post charges and run daily billing.
• Notify staff of patient arrivals and coordinate with Centralized Billing Office.
