Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare administration certification is a plus.
• Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and office software.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Positive attitude and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service.
• Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar.
• Verify patient information and update medical records accurately.
• Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
• Handle patient check-in and check-out processes.
• Collect and process payments, insurance information, and co-pays.
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and confidentiality standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
