Baptist Health in Louisville, KY is seeking a Unit Secretary to support patient flow within the department. You will coordinate appointment scheduling, verify physician orders, and assist with patient check-in and registrations, ensuring accurate insurance information.

In this fast-paced role, you will request medical records when needed and aid nursing staff under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Knowledge of medical terminology and computer familiarity are preferred; BCLS is required

Formación

• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Experience with computers preferred.
• BCLS required within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule/reschedule/cancel patient appointments.
• Verify physician orders for upcoming appointments and request missing orders.
• Handle patient check-in and collect registration and insurance information.
• Request prior medical records when needed.
• Assist nursing staff with selected procedures as needed under RN supervision.
