SunState Medical Specialists is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients across our Florida locations. The role emphasizes patient friendliness, accuracy in charting, and effective communication with insurance providers and the billing team.

The successful candidate will assist with appointment scheduling, patient questions regarding billing, and transfer of calls to the appropriate departments, ensuring a warm and professional patient experience.

Qualifications

• Cheerful, positive and respectful attitude is required.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Good telephone, computer, and typing skills are needed.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience as medical receptionist preferred, but not required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient charts including demographics and billing information.
• Verify insurance benefits and communicate financial responsibilities to patients.
• Assist with patient collections and identify outstanding balances.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments and manage referrals.
• Handle incoming calls and transfer to appropriate team members.
• Take messages accurately and ensure timely delivery.
