About Us

Healthcare Management Solutions, LLC (HMS), is dedicated to transforming and improving the quality of care for those we serve. We conduct surveys of long-term care (LTC) and non-LTC programs across the United States and territories, including Ambulatory Surgical Centers, Critical Access Hospitals, Acute Care Hospitals, End Stage Renal Disease, Home Health, and Hospice.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct on-site surveys: Initial, Recertification, Revisit, Complaint, Focus, and Pilot surveys following the State Operations Manual.
2. Complete deficiency reports accurately, linking deficiencies to regulations, and adhere to deadlines.
3. Report survey findings involving Immediate Jeopardy or Substandard Quality of Care to Quality Assurance staff promptly.
4. Coordinate with QA staff to ensure documentation is thorough and defensible.
5. Maintain knowledge of CMS and HMS policies, Medicare regulations, and CMS memos.

Minimum Requirements

1. Experience in CMS surveys.
2. Completed CMS training relevant to the provider type of interest.
3. Critical thinking and decision-making skills.
4. Ability to perform all facility-required tasks.
5. Bachelor's degree with 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
6. Preference for registered nurses, LPNs, licensed social workers, dietitians.
7. Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT) for LTC surveyors.
