Job summary

DASCO is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver and set up medical equipment and educate patients/caregivers on use and maintenance. The role includes warehouse tasks, inventory management, and completing required documentation.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license with a good driving record, and willingness to work after-hours on-call shifts as needed. Experience in residential delivery and medical customer service is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Residential delivery driver experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in a medical/insurance/healthcare setting preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record as determined by insurer.

Responsibilities

• Delivers medical equipment and supplies, educates the patient and/or caregiver on use, maintenance and benefits, and completes all required paperwork.
• Maintains compliance logs and applicable records and receipts per policy and procedure.
• Complies with HIPAA, Joint Commission, FDA, OSHA, and state boards; reports compliance or safety issues to the manager.
• Provides afterhours coverage with other Medical Equipment Technicians.
• Assists in training new Medical Equipment Technicians as requested by the manager.
• Identifies patient needs and revenue opportunities and conveys them to Customer Service for follow-up.
• Supports vehicle maintenance and daily manifests.
• Maintains warehouse, inventory levels, and equipment cleanliness and repair per policy.
• Other duties as assigned by the branch office manager.
