Job summary

DASCO Home Medical Equipment, Inc. is hiring a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver and assemble medical equipment, educate patients and caregivers on proper use, and perform related warehouse tasks.

The role requires driving to patient residences, adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines, and occasional after-hours coverage. Training and support for new staff are provided as part of the position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Residential delivery driver experience preferred.
• Customer Service experience in a medical/insurance/healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers medical equipment and supplies, educates patient/caregiver on use and maintenance, and completes required paperwork.
• Maintains compliance logs and applicable records per policy.
• Complies with HIPAA, Joint Commission, FDA, OSHA and related guidelines; reports safety issues to manager.
• Responsible for afterhours coverage with other technicians.
• Supports training of new Medical Equipment Technicians as requested by the manager.
• Identifies patient needs and revenue opportunities and conveys them to Customer Service for follow-up.
• Assists with vehicle maintenance and daily cleaning; completes maintenance manifests.
• Maintains warehouse/inventory and equipment cleanliness per policy and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by the branch office manager.
