Job summary

DASCO Home Medical Equipment, Inc. is hiring a Medical Equipment Technician for on-site delivery, setup and education of patients on medical equipment. Role includes warehouse tasks, inventory, and required documentation, with potential cross-training for office coverage.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED and may involve residential delivery experience, strong customer service skills, and adherence to regulatory guidelines. On-call after-hours shifts are possible.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Residential delivery driver experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in a medical/insurance/healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and sets up medical equipment and educates patients on use.
• Maintains compliance logs and records per policy/procedure.
• Complies with HIPAA, Joint Commission, FDA, OSHA and other regulations; reports safety issues to the manager.
• Provides afterhours coverage with other Medical Equipment Technicians.
• Assists in training new Technicians as requested by the manager.
• Identifies patient needs and conveys opportunities to Customer Service for follow-up.
• Supports vehicle maintenance and manages daily upkeep/receipts.
• Maintains warehouse/inventory and equipment cleanliness per policy.
