The role translates complex medical information into clear narratives for LMNs, DME, and HHC requests, reviewing records and ensuring medical necessity.

The writer will collaborate with patients, clinicians, and internal teams to produce timely, high-quality documentation, while maintaining compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred.
• 1–3 years of healthcare experience preferred, with medical writing or claims documentation experience advantageous.
• Familiarity with DEEOIC or healthcare benefits/claims processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft LMNs, medical narratives, and claims documentation accurately and persuasively.
• Review medical records to identify diagnoses, treatments, and functional limitations supporting HHC, DME, and claims.
• Translate clinical information into clear documentation addressing medical necessity and program requirements.
• Collaborate with patients, healthcare professionals, and internal teams to gather information and resolve gaps.
• Maintain high-quality, compliant documentation reflecting medical necessity and program guidelines.
• Manage high-volume workload, aiming for timely turnaround and consistent quality.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Biology, Nursing, Epidemiology, Public Health, or related field
