Job summary

Canon Medical Systems USA, Inc. is seeking a Counsel to provide legal advice on commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters. The role reports to the VP, Legal & Compliance and supports CMSU with practical guidance across departments.

The position requires a law degree, active State Bar membership, and at least three years of practice, preferably in the medical device industry. Collaboration with CMSU and NXC is essential.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree required.
• Active State Bar membership required.
• At least three years of practice as an attorney, preferably in a medical device company.
• Experience with healthcare compliance laws (e.g., FDA, False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback).
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial contracts.
• Review and advise on materials for RFPs.
• Review marketing collateral for compliance with Truth in Advertising principles and regulatory requirements.
• Advise on requests for approval of sponsorships and educational grants.
• Manage litigation and pre-litigation matters with outside counsel.
• Draft and review policies on healthcare compliance and other policies.
