Job summary

Abbott in Liberty, SC, is hiring for a production assembler in the Cardiac Rhythm Management division. The role involves assembling, welding, soldering, and X-ray inspection of medical devices, using microscopes and precision tools.

You will perform casting/coating, mechanical assembly, packaging, and ensure documentation is accurate. The position requires good hand-eye coordination, basic computer skills, and adherence to GMP/ISO standards in a clean-room environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Electronic assembly experience preferred.
• Must have good hand-eye skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work with close supervision during training and then with moderate supervision once competent.
• Basic computer skill knowledge.
• Working knowledge of GMP and ISO Standards preferred.
• Ability to interpret and understand production documents.

Responsibilities

• Performs Electronic Assembly functions: assembles, welds, solders and x-rays medical devices and related parts using microscopes and applicable tools.
• Performs Casting/Coating functions: examines devices after molding operations and patches/repairs as needed, using small tools.
• Performs Mechanical Assembly functions: kits, assembles, bonds coats and processes medical devices and related parts.
• May set-up/utilize special test equipment.
• Performs Packaging Functions: kits, assembles and packages devices and related accessories.
• Notifies supervisor when supplies run low and reports production issues.
• Supports Quality Management Systems and regulatory requirements.
