Job summary

Wolters Kluwer is seeking a Content Editing Associate in a hybrid US-based role. You will partner with physician deputy editors to drive editorial progress within a medical specialty and maintain open lines with authors, editors, and peer reviewers.

You will document workflows, manage the editorial process from styling manuscripts to final checks, and coordinate graphics and permissions. Strong proofreading, communication, and Microsoft Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent proofreading, communication, time management, and organization skills.
• Editorial experience is a plus, but not necessary.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with one or two physician deputy editors to drive progress in an assigned medical specialty.
• Maintain frequent contact and develop relationships with external specialty authors, editors, and peer reviewers.
• Document content developments and workflows in proper databases.
• Ferry content through the editorial process, including styling and formatting original manuscripts, reviewing graphics, and coordinating with Graphics and Permissions teams.
• Send content to external contributors for review; set deadlines and follow up for timely responses.
• Incorporate contributor revisions for specialty DEs to review.
• Proofread, check links and references, and finalize topics and graphics for publication following UpToDate style guidelines.
• Address all editorial tasks in a timely manner.
• Track progress toward annual goals and provide monthly reports.
