Job summary

Wolters Kluwer is seeking a Senior Content Editor for the Medical Education and Medical Practice portfolios. You will lead high‑volume content projects, oversee development cycles, and collaborate with Acquisitions, Editorial Operations, Product Management, Marketing and Sales to deliver high‑quality materials.

You will manage content for print and digital products, ensure on‑time delivery, and guide authors, SMEs, and vendors while enforcing editorial standards and ensuring compliance with

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in academic and/or healthcare publishing.
• Travel: <10% for team meetings and conferences

Responsibilities

• Develop content and assets for print and digital products serving medical education and clinical practice audiences.
• Oversee assigned high-volume products during the development cycle to ensure on-time, on-spec delivery within budget.
• Collaborate with SMEs, authors, vendors, and in-house staff to develop and refine clear, engaging content for multiple platforms.
• Analyze proposals and sample content to determine market viability and evaluate SME/author capability to create content per plan.
• Provide direction to authors/SMEs on approach, pedagogy, and use of engaging digital resources.
• Create and monitor a comprehensive project budget and schedule; assist in management reports.
• Resolve quality or scope issues by coordinating with Editorial Operations and vendors/freelancers.
• Enrich products with digital assessments, resources, case studies, and videos for optimized delivery.
• Enforce editorial standards and ensure compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Evaluate content performance metrics and suggest improvements.
• Engage in quality assurance initiatives for digital content
