Responsibilities

• Accurately assigns ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes for professional and outpatient hospital services.
• Ensures documentation supports the assigned codes and maintains data integrity.
• Researches patient accounts to respond to questions and errors.
• Maintains productivity and accuracy standards.
• Communicates with providers for clarification as needed.
• Collaborates with team to meet monthly goals (DNFB, Pre-AR, Denials, Claim Edits).
• Verifies discharge disposition when appropriate and performs other duties as required.
