Job summary

Capital Health seeks a skilled medical coder to assign CPT-4, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM codes for professional claims in CHMG, ensuring accurate coding per AMA and CMS guidelines. This full-time role involves reviewing documentation, applying modifiers, and collaborating with billing teams to ensure proper reimbursement.

Qualified candidates hold CPC-A, CPC, or CCS-P credentials, with 2 years of physician coding experience and proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CPC-A, CPC, or CCS-P certification required.
• Two years' experience in physician coding preferred; ICD-10-CM, CPT-4 and HCPCS experience preferred.
• Strong communication and knowledge of surgical coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review and assign CPT-4 procedure codes and modifiers for procedures.
• Validate ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes.
• Analyze documentation to assign E/M codes.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with AMA and CMS guidelines.
