Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a professional coder to assign CPT-4, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM codes for professional claims in hospital and outpatient settings. You will apply AMA and CMS guidelines and ensure accurate E/M coding when applicable.

Collaboration with billing and revenue teams is essential to prevent issues and maintain data integrity. The ideal candidate has CPC-A, CPC, or CCS-P certification, with strong communication skills and knowledge of surgical coding guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPC-A, CPC or CCS-P certification required.
• Associate degree in health information management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and assign CPT-4, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM codes for professional claims.
• Apply AMA and CMS coding conventions accurately.
• Review documentation to ensure correct E/M coding.
• Collaborate with billing and revenue teams to ensure data integrity.
• Meet or exceed accuracy and productivity standards.
