Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Reviews medical record documentation, extracts data and applies diagnosis and procedure codes.
• Assigns and sequences codes using ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS per guidelines.
• Maintains coding productivity and accuracy targets as per policy.
• Reviews claims for corrections and ensures confidentiality of patient information.
• Stays current with coding requirements and maintains AHIMA/AAPC credentials.

Education

Associate's Degree in Health Information Technology or Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management
