Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in a similar medical billing role or business-related field.
• Medical terminology and coding experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office with proven data entry experience.
• Ability to communicate with the patient and all members of the health care team.

Responsibilities

• Collect documentation (CMN, PAR, Order, Prescription) for compliant and timely billing of equipment.
• Manage CMN/PAR work list and follow up with doctors when info is missing; ensure timelines are met.
• Verify CMN/PAR is completed and logged per payer/insurance regulations.
• Accurately document all accounts to maintain a thorough record of actions taken.
• Collaborate with collection specialists on accounts receivable issues.
• All other duties as assigned.
