AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Documentation Specialist to ensure timely collection and management of patient documentation for compliant billing and revenue cycle efficiency. You will collaborate with physician offices, insurers, and internal teams to remove barriers to care and payment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance with Medicare/Medicaid/HIPAA, and supporting timely billing while maintaining high standards of customer service and data integrity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• 1 year of administrative experience (insurance, billing, claims, call center, or financial services).
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient computer and system skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and validate clinical documentation for payer compliance and billing readiness.
• Collect and manage patient eligibility documents (prescriptions, CMNs/LMNs, notes, labs, authorizations).
• Resolve revenue by reconciling documentation with charges.
• Request and track prior authorizations with Medicaid and payers.
• Identify trends and educate internal teams and provider offices.
