Job summary

ProMedica Northwest Ohio Cardiology Consultants in Toledo is seeking a part-time billing specialist to review physician office charges within the EMR for ICD-10 and CPT accuracy and ensure documentation completeness. You will correct billing edits in the billing software and escalate inconsistencies as needed.

Preferred candidates have Epic experience and a coding/billing certification, with a strong cardiology billing background and at least two years of medical billing experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years medical billing experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews physician office charges within the electronic medical record for diagnosis accuracy and documentation completion per ICD-10 and CPT billing guidelines.
• Corrects billing edits within the billing software.
• Notifies supervisor of any inconsistencies.
• Complies reports of lost revenue due to missing documentation within the medical record.
