Job summary

ProMedica Central Physicians in Toledo is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Neurophysiology team. In the office setting, the Medical Assistant communicates with patients and colleagues and assists leadership to improve patient care.

This role delivers a safe patient experience from check-in to vitals collection and visit documentation. You will provide clinical support beyond exam rooms, answering calls and relaying messages for providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS (CPR) required; provide current card or obtain within 90 days.
• Certified/Registered Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience in medical office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients and co-workers to ensure smooth care delivery.
• Take and document vitals and visit reasons.
• Assist providers and nurses as needed in the Neurophysiology unit.
• Answer patient calls and relay messages to clinicians.
• Support safe patient experiences from check-in to discharge.

In the office setting, the Medical Assistant communicates with patients and co-workers and collaborates with leadership to recommend changes to improve patient care.This person in this position provides a safe patient experience from the moment they walk into a ProMedica facility. From fathering data from the patient to documenting the reasons for the visit and obtaining vitals, the medial assistant strives for clinical excellence.Communication is key in this role. You will communicate with patients, peers and all members of the health care team.
