Job summary

HEALTH ATLAST WEST LA INC is a busy physical medicine practice in Los Angeles seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join our in-house team. This full-time, in-office role requires independence, strong time management, and ownership of the billing and collections process.

You will manage the full revenue cycle, submit claims, follow up on denials, post payments, and coordinate with insurers, patients, and providers. Training will be provided on our specialty and billing software.

Qualifications

• Experience managing the full revenue cycle for a medical practice.
• Experience with billing for physical medicine, chiropractic, rehabilitation, acupuncture, physical therapy, or massage therapy preferred.
• Ability to manage a full caseload independently and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full revenue cycle from charge entry through payment posting and collections.
• Submit accurate, timely claims to insurance payers.
• Follow up on unpaid, denied, and underpaid claims, and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Post payments and reconcile accounts.
• Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and providers regarding billing questions.
• Monitor aging reports and work down outstanding balances.
• Stay current on payer-specific billing requirements and coding guidelines.
• Support the daily operations of the billing department.
