Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an experienced Medical Biller/Collector for our busy specialty medical practice in Pasadena. You will manage the full revenue cycle, including claims submission, posting payments, collections, benefits verification, and follow-up with accounts.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of medical billing/collections experience, strong knowledge of PPOs and HMOs, proficiency with EMR/EHR and billing software, and excellent communication skills in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• 2+ years medical billing and collections in a physician practice, specialty clinic, or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of PPO, HMO, and managed care insurance plans.
• Experience with insurance claims follow-up, appeals, and reimbursement processes.
• Understanding of medical collections and accounts receivable management.
• Basic knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims to payers accurately and timely.
• Follow up on unpaid, denied, or underpaid claims to maximize reimbursement.
• Manage patient and insurance collections, including outstanding balances.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, authorizations, and coverage.
• Post insurance and patient payments and reconcile accounts.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, claim rejections, and payment variances.
• Work with PPO, HMO, and other plans to ensure proper processing and reimbursement.
