Job summary

Ultipro is seeking a healthcare operations supervisor to lead the authorizations, billing, intake, and post-acute teams. You will drive process improvements, ensure HIPAA compliance, and coordinate staff training across departments.

Ideal candidates have experience with medical billing systems and strong communication with physicians, insurers, and staff. This role requires rigor, organization, and a proactive approach to daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years working for a Durable Medical Equipment company or relevant medical office experience preferred.
• Basic understandings of medical insurance benefits.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of systems administration and support tasks.
• Design, implement, and enforce policies and procedures.
• Lead and coordinate the 20+ person medical authorizations, billers, intake, and post-acute departments.
• Streamline authorizations, billers, intake, and post-acute processes.
• Serve as the practice expert for authorizations, billers, intake, and post-acute processes.
• Oversee operations including charge entry, referral intake, and insurance verification.
• Supervise office personnel: work allocation, training, performance evaluation, and problem resolution.
• Audit current procedures to improve efficiency in Authorizations, Billing, Intake, and Post-Acute operations.
• Provide and coordinate training for staff on policies, protocols, systems, and standards.
• Coordinate team members’ time-off requests without impacting daily operations.
• Maintain knowledge of health information management issues such as HIPAA and regulations.
• Ensure activities comply with department protocol and payer regulations.
• Hold bi-weekly staff meetings to foster team building and protocol adherence.
• Report concerns to Intake Supervisor and Intake Manager.
