Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years in a Durable Medical Equipment company or medical office experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients, insurers, and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Performs systems administration and support tasks.
• Designs, implements, and enforces policies and procedures.
• Directs and coordinates the functions of 20+ authorizations, billers, intake, and post-acute departments.
• Streamlines authorizations, billers, intake, and post-acute processes.
• Serves as the practice expert for all related processes.
• Oversees charge entry, referral intake, and insurance verification.
• Supervises staff, assigns work, trains, evaluates performance, and motivates productivity.
• Audits procedures to improve efficiency.
• Provides training on policies, protocols, and systems.
• Coordinates time-off requests to avoid disruption.
• Maintains HIPAA knowledge and health regulations compliance.
• Ensures activities comply with department protocols and payer regulations.
• Holds bi-weekly staff meetings for team building and protocol adherence.
• Reports concerns to Intake Supervisor and Intake Manager.
