Job summary

CareNow urgent care, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an X-ray Technician - Medical Assistant PRN to join our team. You will perform clinical duties, assist with front desk processes, and help maintain smooth clinic operations in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have Radiologic Services training, Medical Assistant program or BOTP, LMRT license, and BLS certification, with at least 1 year of patient-care experience. PRN role with opportunities across CareNow clinics.

Qualifications

• High School graduate as required by the state.
• Graduate of Radiologic Services program.
• Graduate of Medical Assistants program or completion of an approved program (BOTP).
• LMRT license in state of residency.
• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting.
• Ability to obtain a BLS Certification within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification within 3 months of employment.
• Must obtain a Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical duties in support of providers and nursing staff, including vital signs, patient history, lab specimens and EKGs; prepares, maintains and cleans exam rooms.
• Check patients in and out of the computer; may assist the Patient Representative at front desk duties.
• Assist with front desk duties: greeting patients, check-in/out, end of day close out, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including inhouse lab work, drug screens and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Perform equipment and supply audits as scheduled.
• Work closely with Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator and clinic staff to ensure smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
