Job summary

Hometown Urgent Care in Streetsboro, OH is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinicians in clinical and administrative tasks. You will take patient histories, record vital signs, collect specimens, perform point-of-care testing, and assist with examinations.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in a physician practice or clinic preferred.
• Basic computer skills including EMR usage.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to work independently with good clinical judgment.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and obtain vital signs.
• Perform basic testing and screenings (vision, hearing, EKGs, DOT tests).
• Perform phlebotomy and lab specimen collection.
• Assist with exams and testing (pelvic exams, eye/ear irrigations, splints).
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and proper documentation.
