Job summary

Hometown Urgent Care & Occupational Health in Ohio seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinicians and administrative tasks. You will take patient histories, measure vitals, perform basic testing, phlebotomy, and meticulous documentation while ensuring safe, compassionate care.

Responsibilities include assisting with exams, injections, point-of-care testing, and scheduling, with travel to designated care centers within the region. HIPAA confidentiality and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required or maintained.
• Ability to function independently with strong professional judgment.
• Experience in physician practice or clinic settings preferred (1–2 years).
• Basic computer skills and EMR proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and obtain vital signs.
• Perform basic testing or screenings (vision, audio, urine drug screens, EKGs, etc.).
• Conduct phlebotomy for lab sample collection and document results.
• Complete paperwork for lab tests and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Assist providers with exams and testing as needed.
• Schedule and coordinate records for ancillary care and referrals.
• Maintain examination rooms and sterile technique; manage supplies.
• Explain insurances, collect payments, and complete registrations.
• Travel to care centers within the designated region.
