Job summary

The Team Lead Medical Assistant at BMC coordinates staffing and workflows to promote timely patient access, quality care, and positive service experiences. In collaboration with clinical and operational leadership, this role monitors clinic flow and wait times, orders supplies, and serves as a liaison between Medical Assistant staff and management.

The position provides onboarding and ongoing guidance for Medical Assistant staff, while delivering direct patient care as needed and mentoring staff

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership and Supervision: Supervise a team of Medical Assistants, ensuring optimal workflow and task distribution.
• Training, Education and Role Development: Provide training, cross-training and coverage in clinic as needed for Medical Assistant role.
• Patient Care and Clinical Duties: Assist nurses and physicians in providing medical care to patients and responding to clinical situations within scope of practice.
