Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Supervisor-Medical Assistant to oversee daily clinic operations within the Faculty Group Practice. The role supports the practice and nurse manager, supervises MA/PCA staff, and ensures high-quality patient care across teams.

You will train MA/PCA staff, enforce policies, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to optimize patient flow and safety while maintaining HIPAA compliance and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program from an accredited institution OR hold a current Medical Assistant Certification.
• At least 2 years experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Proficiency in EKG, phlebotomy/venipuncture and leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Oversees MA staff and patient care activities at a Faculty Group Practice site.
• Resolves staff issues; manages attendance, scheduling and payroll for direct reports.
• Plans, coordinates and schedules MA activities; supports physicians in care planning.
