• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.

• Minimum of 3 years Medical Assistant experience in a faculty group practice or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary trainer for new hires.
• Escorts patients to exam rooms.
• Measures and records patient vital signs.
• Obtains and processes blood samples per policy.
• Supports providers with EMR documentation and data entry.
• Promotes a positive patient experience.
• Communicates with providers and administrative staff; escalates issues.
• Reviews in-basket messages and Rx refill requests.
