Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant; proficiency in EKG and phlebotomy/venipuncture.
• Progressive leadership ability or potential; knowledge of medical insurance eligibility and authorization rules.

Responsibilities

• Oversees MA staff and patient care activities at a Faculty Group Practice site.
• Resolves personnel issues; manages attendance, schedules, and payroll for direct reports.
• Plans, coordinates, and schedules MA activities; assists physicians and provides back-up coverage.
• Serves as liaison between clinical staff and physicians and ensures effective patient service.
• Mentors MA/PCA staff; conducts competency assessments and performance evaluations.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and enforces policy adherence; maintains patient privacy.
