NYU Langone Health seeks a Supervisor-Medical Assistant to oversee daily clinic operations and assist the practice and/or nurse manager. The role supervises Medical Assistant staff, supports physicians and nurses, and ensures adherence to policies to improve operations in a Faculty Group Practice.

The position emphasizes staff leadership, operational oversight, patient care quality, and collaboration with clinical leadership to optimize patient flow and service delivery within NYU Langone Health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Medical Assistant Program or MA Certification may be required.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Proficiency in EKG, phlebotomy/venipuncture.
• Progressive leadership; ability to guide, motivate, and coach staff.
• Knowledge of medical insurance eligibility and authorization rules.

Responsibilities

• Oversees MA staff and patient care activities at a Faculty Group Practice site.
• Resolves employee issues; manages attendance, schedules, and payroll for direct reports.
• Plans, coordinates and schedules MA activities; coordinates with physicians on patient care.
• Acts as a liaison between clinical staff and physicians to ensure effective patient service.
• Ensures suites are properly staffed to avoid provider delays; maintains patient flow.
