Job summary

The role focuses on coordinating patient care, staff training, HIPAA compliance, and improving patient flow, while partnering with clinical leadership on quality initiatives such as MIPS and MyChart.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or possession of a recognized MA certification upon hire.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Proficiency in EKG and phlebotomy.
• Progressive leadership and ability to mentor others; knowledge of medical insurance eligibility and authorization rules.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Medical Assistant staff and patient care activities at a Faculty Group Practice site.
• Manage attendance, scheduling, sick time changes, timekeeping, and payroll for direct reports.
• Plan and coordinate MA activities; participate in interdisciplinary patient care planning; provide back-up MA duties as needed.
• Serve as liaison between clinical staff and physicians to ensure high-quality patient care and communication.
