Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant Program from an accredited institution or current Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA/AMT/NCCT/NHA) on hire.
• Minimum of 3 years Medical Assistant experience in a faculty group practice or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary trainer for new hires and escort patients to exam rooms.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and assist with instrument readiness.
• Measure and record patient vital signs and collect specimens per policy.
• Assist with data entry, scheduling, and EMR documentation per practices guidelines.
• Provide support for patient intake, including translation services when needed.
• Assist with prescription renewals and coordination of care between providers.
• Support clinical quality management and ensure patient privacy per HIPAA.
• Collaborate with clinical team to manage patient flow and interdepartmental communication.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Medical Assistant Program completion or national certification (AAMA; AMT; NCCT; NHA)

Minimum 3 years Medical Assistant experience in faculty group practice or hospital
