Job summary

Texas Health Care PLCC in Fort Worth is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our patient-focused team. You will greet patients, enter data, check in and out, verify insurance coverage, answer phones, and schedule appointments. You will collect co-pays and assist with procedures while supporting clinical staff.

Experience with NextGen EHR is a plus. Strong typing, math skills, and excellent communication are essential for a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have Medical Assistant diploma, certification, or graduate transcript.
• NextGen EHR experience and familiarity with an interventional pain medicine office are a plus.
• Strong typing and math skills, ten-key by touch, and excellent telephone skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and enter new patient information.
• Check patients in and out and verify insurance coverage.
• Answer telephones and schedule appointments.
• Collect co-payments and assist with procedures.
• Clean and stock rooms; manage refills and pre-certifications.
• Room patients and schedule procedures; assist with lab work.
• Perform EHR charting and various clinical duties as needed.

Job Requirements:

Applicants must have a Medical Assistant diploma, certification, or graduate transcript. NextGen EHR and previous work with an interventional pain medicine office are a plus. Excellent people and telephone skills and familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT coding, and knowledge of HMOs, PPOs, and various insurance plans. You must have excellent typing and math skills, ten‑key by touch, and enjoy a fast-paced work environment. NextGen EPM/EMR experience is A+.
