Job summary

Marathon Health in Gilbert, AZ is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. The role blends front desk responsibilities with clinical duties to deliver excellent patient care and a welcoming guest experience.

You will take vitals, assist with procedures, administer medications as ordered, and support care coordination with primary physicians. CPR/BLS is required at start date; phlebotomy is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• MA certification or registration is preferred; required in states where certification/registration is required.
• CPR/BLS certification is required at the start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures; work with labs for tests.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per provider orders.
• Coordinate with care team to develop patient plan of care and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, medical records requests, coordination of referrals.
• Record accurate data in medical records per guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate timely results to patients.
• Participate in outreach to engage eligible patient groups.
• Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment.
