Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Los Angeles. You will work with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience, acting as both a medical receptionist and clinical support.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, blood draws, injections, patient record updates, and lab coordination. A formal MA program completion and CPR/BLS are required; phlebotomy experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant (primary care preferred).
• Graduate from an approved Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
• National or state MA certification/registration strongly preferred; required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are stocked and cleaned.
• Take vitals, collect specimens, perform injections and assist with procedures.
• Document and update medical records accurately in the EHR.
• Support front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals.
• Coordinate with labs and providers for tests and results.
• Administer approved medications per provider orders.
• Assist care team in developing and following patient care plans.
• Participate in outreach to engage eligible patient groups.
