Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. You will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and provide an outstanding guest experience.

The MA will serve as both a Medical Receptionist and perform clinical responsibilities as part of our care model. Responsibilities include taking vitals, assisting with procedures, administering medications and immunizations, and coordinating with other care team members to address

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration is strongly preferred; required where law mandates.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are clean and stocked.
• Review medical information and update health data for providers.
• Take vitals, perform venipuncture, injections, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Collaborate with care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and coordination.
• Document data in medical records per guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate them to patients as instructed by Provider.
• Support patient outreach to improve engagement among eligible groups.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
