Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The MA works closely with a primary care physician to deliver patient care and a superb guest experience, handling both front-d desk and clinical duties within our care model.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals, drawing blood, assisting with procedures, and coordinating referrals. A formal MA program and CPR/BLS are required, with phlebotomy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration is strongly preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform venipuncture, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Coordinate patient care and address gaps in care with the team.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, medical record requests, and referrals.
• Process test results and share with patient via e-message, mail or phone.
• Participate in outreach to engage eligible patient groups.
• Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment.
