Job summary

Marathon Health in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. The MA works closely with a primary care physician to deliver patient care and a welcoming guest experience, acting as both receptionist and clinical support.

The role supports vitals, injections, phlebotomy, and front-desk duties, ensuring accurate records and timely communication with patients. CPR/BLS is required; MA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from an approved Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred; required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are clean and stocked.
• Take vitals and assist with procedures; collect specimens and labs as needed.
• Administer medications and immunizations as directed.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, documentation, referrals, and patient communication.
• Maintain accurate medical records and coordinate care with providers.
