Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. The MA will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and a welcoming guest experience across our health centers.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of MA experience, graduation from an MA program, and CPR/BLS certification at start date. Phlebotomy experience is a plus, with opportunities to support both in-person and virtual care processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification/registration is strongly preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are prepared.
• Take vitals, draw blood, administer injections and support procedures.
• Assist with labs, immunizations and medication administration per provider orders.
• Handle front desk duties: scheduling, records requests and referrals.
• Document in the medical record according to guidelines and communicate test results.
