Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team at the Indianapolis clinic. The MA will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and an exceptional guest experience.

The role blends front-d desk responsibilities with clinical tasks, including vitals, phlebotomy, injections, and assisting during procedures. A formal MA program and CPR/BLS are required, with opportunity for growth in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred or required by state law.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review prior medical information and collect updated health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Coordinate care with the team and document patient plans of care in the medical record.
• Manage front desk tasks: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/check-out.
• Record accurate data in the medical record and communicate results to patients.
• Support outreach to patients to drive engagement among eligible groups.
• Maintain clinic supplies and equipment for treatments.
