Job summary

Marathon Health Inc. is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our Indianapolis clinic team. The MA collaborates with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and a welcoming guest experience.

The role covers both front-d desk responsibilities and clinical tasks, including vitals, injections, rooming patients, and assisting with procedures. A formal MA program graduate with CPR/BLS is preferred, and phlebotomy experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration strongly preferred; required where mandated.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals and assist with procedures; coordinate with contracted labs for tests.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as ordered by Provider.
• Support care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/out, and documentation.
• Maintain medical records per guidelines and communicate results to patients.
