Job summary

Marathon Health Inc. is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join the care team. The MA collaborates with the primary care physician to deliver patient-centered care and a superior guest experience, blending clinical duties with front-desk responsibilities.

You will escort patients, take vitals, assist with procedures, administer medications, and help coordinate care across the clinic. CPR/BLS is required at start date; phlebotomy experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred; required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review previous medical information and gather updated health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, draw blood, administer injections, and assist with procedures; coordinate with labs.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and coordinating care outside the clinic.
• Maintain medical records and document data per guidelines; communicate results to patients.
• Participate in outreach to patients to drive engagement among eligible groups.
• Maintain clinic supplies and equipment for treatments.
