Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent's Health Center Arlington in Jacksonville, FL seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to support physicians, prepare patients for examinations, and maintain accurate patient records.

The role involves clinical and clerical duties in a fast-paced setting. Minimum requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent and BLS certification within 30 days; preferred CMA/MA credentials and FL BMO registration.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider credential required within 1 month (30 days) of hire; acceptable from AHA or Red Cross.
• Preferred CMA/MA credentialed from AAMA; Nat'l Medical Assistant Certification (CMA/MA, RMA/AAMA) acceptable.
• NCCT, AAMA, or AMT are acceptable certification sites; BMO cert. preferred.
• Current registration with State of FL as a BMO Operator preferred.

• Record patient vital signs, medical histories, and other information accurately in patient charts.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Preferred Credential(s): Certified Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). Nat'l Medical Assistant (MA) Certification - CMA (Cert. Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant)/AAMA Cert. (American Association of Medical Assistants). NCCT, AAMA, or AMT are acceptable certification sites. Completion of Basic Machine Operators (BMO) cert. preferred. Current registration with State of FL as a BMO Operator preferred.
• Medical Assistant.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
