$2,000 Sign-On Bonus for eligible new hires

$18.41/hour starting wage for non-certified Medical Assistants

$19.43/hour starting wage for Medical Assistants Certified through AAMA or AMT

Under general supervision, and according to established policies and procedures, you will provide excellent patient care by performing or assisting in a variety of medical procedures and tests to assist in the examination and treatment of patients. Responsibilities include vital signs, procedures, treatments, administering injections, venipuncture, and clerical duties to ensure efficient operations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Perform to service excellence standards: respond promptly, professionally, and courteously to all customers’ needs.
2. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
3. Contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts.
4. Prepare examining rooms, including turning on computer terminals and stocking supplies.

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of experience as a medical assistant, OR
• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a recognized program such as medical assistant, emergency medical technician, nurse assistant, licensed practical nurse, or armed services medic program.
• For clinics with Rural Health Designation, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by AHA, ARC, or Canadian equivalents is required within 6 months of hire.

Preferred:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through AAMA or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through AMT.
• AHA BLS Certification (may be required at management discretion).
• Experience with electronic medical records.
• One-year experience in a medical office with multiple providers.
• Experience in a medical office of the same specialty.
